JC Custom Painting recently completed an exterior door painting project in Great Falls, VA. This project involved refinishing the front doors by sanding, priming, and applying multiple coats of high-quality paint for a smooth and durable finish. We also removed the security grille, treated it with anti-corrosive paint, and reinstalled it. Over three days, we carefully applied two coats of primer and three coats of paint, giving the doors a bold, elegant look while ensuring long-term protection against the elements.
Background/Story:
The homeowner, a repeat client, wanted a fresh, updated look for her front doors. With time, the doors had developed signs of wear, and the security grille required maintenance due to exposure to moisture. To achieve the best results, we started by removing the security grille and thoroughly sanding the doors to create a smooth base. The grille was then treated with anti-corrosive paint to prevent rust. Once the doors were prepped, we applied two coats of primer, followed by three coats of Sherwin-Williams Emerald Urethane Semigloss in Tricorn Black. The end result was a deep, refined finish that made the entrance stand out beautifully.
